Our Services
Chinese Medicine is a 2,000+ year-old practice that is founded on observing predictable patterns in the human body, our environment, and their connection. Broken down into the areas of acupuncture, gua-sha, cupping, and herbalism, this medicine seeks to correct imbalances in the body that serve as the foundation of one’s health condition.
Sliding Scale Pricing
A sliding scale is an economic tool used to enable care based on the belief that as a people, we are decidedly interwoven. And though we may not know one another, we have a point of connection in getting care through the services that Marigold Acupuncture provides.
As a community of strangers, we have the opportunity to gift each other care that is safe and affordable if we access care at the level that our budget allows. If one person pays more for their treatment because they can, then another person who is not able to pay as much is subsidized in their own ability to pay for services. In this way, we are enabling a spirit of healing grounded in our interconnection and well-being.
The sliding scale is as follows:
Consultation (including herbal): $30-$50 sliding scale - 20 min
Acupuncture: $50-$90 sliding scale - 50 min
These are priced separately, a la carte:
Cupping: $60 - 15 min
Gua-Sha: $30 - 10 min
Acupuncture
Some say that a small shift can yield big results. So it is with acupuncture. Thinner than a strand of hair, acupuncture needles are inserted painlessly into the body to trigger your body’s natural response to improve health outcomes. Each treatment is tailored to your body’s needs to make improvements to your condition.
Acupuncture works best when care is consistent for the duration that your health concerns persist. Lasting change occurs when you have moved from immediate relief of symptoms to the maintenance phase of care. Naturally, chronic conditions require longer treatment, while acute conditions may resolve in a handful of sessions.
Gua-Sha
Also known as scraping, gua-sha is a tool that is used to scrape tight muscles in order to release trapped heat and relieve pain.
Cupping
Perhaps one of the more famous modalities of Chinese Medicine, cupping is performed in the event of poor circulation due to physical injury. Cups are placed on the skin in a way to create suction and loosen the stuck tissue, break up adhesions and soothe inflammation in the area to restore circulation.
Herbalism
Chinese herbs are a safe and effective way to improve the outcomes of chronic and even complicated conditions over a short or longer period of time. Herbal formulas are safe to ingest and cause few to no side effects.
